The product narrative was solid, but it had to be communicated across a variety of product categories for it to connect. There can’t be just a few.
Since then, we’ve launched new materials (silver and merino), new styles (long underwear and long-sleeve shirts), and many new designs and colors. A new product category was the one thing we didn’t do. That was done on purpose. Mack Weldon Ace Sweatpants guiding principle was to keep things simple and focused. We’re reviving the Ace collection for the second time this winter, and we’re doing it in a major manner. We, as a company, are constantly mindful of the fact that we should only branch out into new sectors with the consent of our clients. A logical progression from Mack Weldon Ace Sweatpants was the Pant. However, it held committed to the core values that have made Mack Weldon a success so far.
